Recently, at Old Government Lodge Enugu, the State Government organized programme on security of Smart Schools in the communities of Enugu State attended by Communities’ Presidents-General, community Igwes, Councilors, stakeholders and representatives of State Security architectures.
The high lights of the program were product of the workshop on “Smart Green School Security, ownership, accountability and Sustainability, organized for community leaders and security stakeholders on August,28.
The theme is explicit and self explanatory.
High lights include;
- Setting up security council by the Mayor of each L.G.A
*Submission of security plan for the Smart Green School in your ward.
*. Demonstrating ownership through accountability and close monitoring and evaluations. Please make comments/observations so I shall articulate opinions as feedback from my Ward to the appropriate quarters as important too, among others.

Suggestions/recommendations.
1. Ensuring that the youths in each of the communities where smart school is established should be carried along by involving them both in decision making and field work.
2. Those recruited into the security architecture should have strong guarantors
3. The rules of engagement shall be well spelt out and defined
4. They should be well equiped with necessary tools
5. Periodical training and orientation is vital key for better service.
6. Each village in any ward should produce one or two persons to undertake the security work inorder to foam form united and undivided security squads and the PG’s or Igwe’s approve such person(s)
7.There shall be a central body made of ex men to check mate their activities from time to time.
