According to release from “Iyala Iyala Campaign Organization” and made available to PeopleGAZET Newspaper, “Hon. Dr. Maurice Nnaemezie Edeh (popularly known as “Iyala, Iyala”) is a seasoned academic, administrator and politician with extensive experience in public service, education and leadership.
“Over the years, he has built a distinguished reputation through his commitment to good governance, community development, and professional excellence.
“Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accountancy from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Accountancy from Ebonyi State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Accountancy. His educational achievements reflect a lifelong dedication to learning and professional growth.
“In public service, Hon. Dr. Edeh has held several strategic positions, including Councilor representing Chinatown Ward 1, Commissioner for Agriculture in Enugu State, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Enugu State, Member of a Federal Board, Member of the Enugu State Health Management board

The seat of Nkanu East/West LGA Federal Constituency at the NASS is currently occupied by returned Rt. Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, “Ozoigbo”, a second-timer-Member who won the seat twice on the People Democratic Party PDP platform.
Rt. Hon. Nnaji who also recently defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) party and has also secured ticket is Chairman of House Committee on Harbour at the Green Chamber and credited with numerous constituency projects for the Zone.
Hon. Maurice Edeh is former; Councilor, Presidents-General of Town Unions Association and later Commissioner for Agriculture in Enugu State Government.
