ARISE Television co-host and former presidential spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, has openly criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as \u201crude and disrespectful,\u201d and warning that he may one day turn against President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abati\u2019s comments were made on Tuesday during The Morning Show<\/em>, a breakfast programme on ARISE TV, following Wike\u2019s controversial remarks about former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wike had, during a media chat on Monday, described Amaechi as someone “hungry for power.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow that they are out of power, they say they are hungry. It\u2019s not hunger for food. It\u2019s hunger for power,\u201d the FCT Minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In response, Abati questioned Wike\u2019s political manners and loyalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI think that Nyesom Wike is very rude and disrespectful because Rotimi Amaechi is his boss in politics,\u201d Abati said. \u201cWhen he was local government chairman or was it councillor during Amaechi\u2019s second term, it was Rotimi Amaechi that helped him to become local government chairman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He went further, accusing Wike of habitually disrespecting political mentors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWho will Nyesom Wike not insult?\u201d Abati asked. \u201cHe insulted Senator John Mbata, who was his godfather at some point. He also insulted Peter Odili, who helped him become governor.
