DIG Isyaku Mohammed Leads Operational Audit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isyaku Mohammed, Ph.D, FCNA, Deputy Inspector\u2011General of Police (DIG), Department of Training and Development (DTD), recently led a hands\u2011on operational tour of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, pressing officers to sustain discipline, professionalism and community\u2011centred policing as part of the Inspector\u2011General\u2019s Zone 7 assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was contained in a Press Release by Abuja FCT Council under leadership of Comrade Chairman Grace Ike Z., detailing the activities undertaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It stated that, “Receiving the DIG at Command Headquarters, Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP (Prof.) Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, PhD, FCAI, welcomed the delegation and affirmed the Command\u2019s adherence to the policing vision of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM. CP Sanusi highlighted recent operational gains and reiterated the Command\u2019s commitment to robust community partnerships and international best practices in policing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“DIG Isyaku told officers the tour was a direct instruction from the IGP to inspect the security architecture and operational systems across all State Commands in Zone 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He said the exercise is designed to evaluate ongoing strategies, identify weaknesses, and recommend reforms that will raise operational efficiency and shape stronger, policy\u2011driven policing across the Zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Charging the Command\u2019s personnel to remain civil, disciplined and accountable, the DIG emphasized respect for the rule of law and service delivery as non\u2011negotiable standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He urged commanders and frontline officers to implement the IGP\u2019s directives consistently and to align everyday policing with internationally accepted standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Representatives of communities across the FCT welcomed the visit, praising the IGP\u2019s commitment to regular operational oversight and the deployment of senior management to engage directly with officers and citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“They said such inspections build mutual trust, open channels for constructive dialogue, and strengthen cooperative approaches to public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The visit included an interactive session where officers and community stakeholders raised critical security concerns and operational challenges.
